I had so much fun helping to plan this magical proposal on top of a hill under an epic Oak tree. Ben had the vision of proposing to Kathleen on the same hike that they had their first date. His family and friends helped him climb all the branches of this tree in order to string tons of lights. Last night, they trekked up the mountain with their dogs. Kathleen was on the tree swing facing out toward the valley below, and a few of us hid behind a decoy truck. As soon as Ben dropped to his knee, we started playing their song through a hidden speaker, and the generators were turned on so the entire tree lit up for them to slow dance. Ben brought them a change of clothes and we did a nighttime engagement shoot under the twinkle lights before the surprise engagement party complete with a caramel-apple bar. Congrats to Ben and his beautiful soon-to-be-wife, Kathleen. It was an honor to be a part of your big night!
- Life. What a gift. So worthy of celebration. Incomplete, however, without relationships. Yes, familiar faces are a sense of home when life turns unknown corners. But new faces, passions and relationships can be the best new corners to turn around. You can say that I am curious about people. That is an understatement. I have a knack for drawing people out. I guess I do like to see what lies behind facades. Real personalities and quirky qualities are my favorite things to celebrate. Will you let me celebrate your life?
